1) Is it true that Walker tells us that Wisconsin had a $137 million shortfall for 2011, but turned around and asked for/received $140 million in tax breaks for his own "big money" friends? He told us that the state was broke! Didn't anybody in his government ask, "Where did this $140 million come from?

2) Is it true that multinational corporations bought both national/state Republian governments and then receive tax breaks to further bankrupt the country and each state?

3) Is it also true that Walker, et al, said that it is not o.k. for individual workers to pool their funds and resources to advocate on their behalf?

4) Is it not true that all workers ... not just those in unions ... benefit from 40 hour work weeks, family medical leave, weekends off, overtime, child labor laws, and the list goes on?

5) Is it not true that the Organization of the American Workforce kept us from being the China and India of today? After all, those countries have 22 hour workdays, 7 days a week, sweat shops for women and children, high suicide rates, and an insurmountable gap between the rich and the poor. Oh yes, if we keep following the agenda of the Republican governments, we will soon catch up to China and India -- in the wrong way.

6) Is it not true that corporations (the Koch brothers corporation comes to mind) have the money, the "savvy" and their ilk to advocate for their interests --- while unions are the last hope of the average American citizen?

7) Is it not true that the Department of Revenue under Walker's leadership, reported that they have reduced their corporate taxes by 1.7%? By doing so, they reduced revenues by $500K annually. Then they turned around and added a further burden on the citizens of our state by reducing MORE taxes on corporations.

8) Is it not true that one GOP talking head let slip what they want to do with pensions ... turn them in 401K plans, adding more money for the marketeers/fraudsters?

9) Is it not true that the GOP complains about wealth redistribution, yet has no problem squeezing every penny they can out of the middle class ... or what's left of it ... and send it to the top 1%.

10) Is it not true that if the GOP can break the unions, they'll do serious damage to the Democratic party? Isn't this part of their "one party" rule agenda?

May you Republican "bobble heads" should take off your blinders and take a good look around you. Tell us, how long will it be before you folks will be affected by all that's going on?

The state was never broke. It still paid it's bills and money was still coming in. Walker balanced the budget by ways that Dems didn't like.

2) Is it true that multinational corporations bought both national/state Republian governments and then receive tax breaks to further bankrupt the country and each state?
I don't know...is it?

3) Is it also true that Walker, et al, said that it is not o.k. for individual workers to pool their funds and resources to advocate on their behalf?

He and the Republicans passed Act 10 which said it's not o.k. for individual STATE workers to pool their funds and resources to...blah, blah, blah...collective bargain.

4) Is it not true that all workers ... not just those in unions ... benefit from 40 hour work weeks, family medical leave, weekends off, overtime, child labor laws, and the list goes on?

It is true that there was many labor battles over history that, as an end result, gave the benefits that you stated above. What's your point? Should we kiss the ring of all unions and give them everything they want, no matter what the cost is to me?

5) Is it not true that the Organization of the American Workforce kept us from being the China and India of today? After all, those countries have 22 hour workdays, 7 days a week, sweat shops for women and children, high suicide rates, and an insurmountable gap between the rich and the poor. Oh yes, if we keep following the agenda of the Republican governments, we will soon catch up to China and India -- in the wrong way.

Are you copying off an AFL/CIO pamphlet? Why didn't you just combine 4 with 5?

6) Is it not true that corporations (the Koch brothers corporation comes to mind) have the money, the "savvy" and their ilk to advocate for their interests --- while unions are the last hope of the average American citizen?

Do corporations have the money to do that stuff, yes. Are unions the last hope for the average American citizen? I just had to laugh, because I have the intro to "Battlestar Galactica" going through my head, with the drama you make that statement sound like.

Sure. Don't have time to look it up, so I'll take your linkless word for it.

8) Is it not true that one GOP talking head let slip what they want to do with pensions ... turn them in 401K plans, adding more money for the marketeers/fraudsters?

From what I understand, WI pension system relies a lot on the market already. Can you show me where that "slip" took place?

9) Is it not true that the GOP complains about wealth redistribution, yet has no problem squeezing every penny they can out of the middle class ... or what's left of it ... and send it to the top 1%.

No, it's not true.

10) Is it not true that if the GOP can break the unions, they'll do serious damage to the Democratic party? Isn't this part of their "one party" rule agenda?

The GOP can't break the unions. No matter how hard they try, unions are not going away. The GOP is trying to hit a major fund raiser of the Democrats. I guess they have to start sucking off the Koch Brothers now, instead of the union bosses.

May you Republican "bobble heads" should take off your blinders and take a good look around you. Tell us, how long will it be before you folks will be affected by all that's going on?

I'm currently doing pretty well. Who knows what the future holds, but you'll be the first to know when my life goes to hell because of the GOP.

whitebuffalo98 (5/3/2012)[ Walker balanced the budget by ways that Dems didn't like.

False:

In the 2010 race, Walker made an explicit promise, noted on his campaign website to "require the use of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) to balance every state budget, just as we require every local government and school district to do."

This is known as the accrual accounting method, something also used by publicly traded companies. On the Walk-O-Meter, we rated this a Promise Broken. Walker did not use the GAAP approach on his first budget.

Indeed, under that approach, the state shows a $3 billion GAAP deficit each of the next two years. And that is the new source of confusion.

Balanced? Are you kidding me? If that's the case, why does Wisconsin have a multimillion deficit? You answer that question, whitebuffalo.

No, it's not true.

I'm not the one making the accusation, Blue. So, like your topic says, "Tell us..."

WB: Like all people who do not know what they're talking about ... YOU are answering a question WITH a question. My first point was "Is it true?" That's a question, if you don't know it ... then you end your discussion by asking the same question .... Didn't you learn anything in school ... wherever it is you went?

Blue, you are using a common line of quetioning that lawyers use in crossing a witness by saying, "Isn't it true that (insert the statement you want to make here)". If this was direct, it would be leading the witness. I answered your question/statement in one of only two ways somebody can answer a leading question, which is "No". If you feel that my anwser is a lie, you may provide evidence that would impeach me.

Doesn't your AFL/CIO talking point sheet give you reforences?
