What does FOX's ratings have to do with the fact that they repeatedly lie? Are you trying to divert this discussion to a non-germane tangent?

Best case scenario, Fox News is sloppy. Worst case, they're complete frauds. Either way they've ceased being a reliable news source.

That's based on the false premise that at one point they were a reliable news source.

Why do you think they're known as Faux news?

Re: ratings, all that proves is millions are willing to buy Faux's bovine excrement.

"Sarah Palin was box office on FOX News this week - handing Sean Hannity one of his highest-rated shows.

Hannity's ratings were his second-highest for the year, according to the Nielsen Media Research count, and he beat the network's top-drawing Bill O'Reilly, who had 3.868 million viewers Wednesday night.

Nielsen found that FOX News Channel's Hannity drew 4.2 million viewers with Palin's appearance - far surpassing the competition in the time slot: MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, with 957,000 viewers, and CNN's Larry King, with 835,000."

More of the usual cut-and-paste bull$hit from Forward. Palin got high ratings: so what? Fox News got high ratings: so what? Why don't you tell us IN YOUR OWN WORDS why we should take Palin or Fox News seriously?

Since only 28% of the American population have a college education, it doesn't surprise me that Fox news would have such high ratings. I know, I know...I'm such an elitist!

I'm just saying...

On that note I have to remind you that education and intellect are two different things: not everyone who doesn't have a college degree is a drooling imbecile. Bill Gates and Richard Branson are examples.

On the other hand, not every college graduate is an intelligent person: some of them are borderline nitiwits. As proof I give you...Sarah Palin

Attacking Fox News doesn't add any real value to the issue of Palin's character.

While Hannity's audience of more than 4 million viewers with the author of Going Rogue aboard at the start of her national book tour well exceeded the 2 million-plus turnout that the FOX evening news got with a long-sought Obama interview, both shows were ratings leaders for the No. 1 cable news network:

Hannity's ratings were his second-highest for the year, according to the Nielsen Media Research count, and he beat the network's top-drawing Bill O'Reilly, who had 3.868 million viewers Wednesday night.

Nielsen found that FOX News Channel's Hannity drew 4.2 million viewers with Palin's appearance - far surpassing the competition in the time slot: MSNBC's Rachel Maddow, with 957,000 viewers, and CNN's Larry King, with 835,000."

Yes, approximately 1 percent of the American people consistently watch Fox News. The remainder watch other news stations or don't watch any news.

The Onion is a popular publication. That does not mean the content is true.

The difference between The Onion's readers and the Fox News viewers is that Onion readers know they are watching fake news.
